Wonderful Xmas Weekend....=)

After Matt Bro's Wedding yesterday, it marked the end of the Xmas weekend. I really had a wonderful time!! =)

On Thurs, we had a simple "Eat, Drink and Make Merry" Xmas Eve gathering at Alvin's house. There are 6 of us, 3 couples, the other 2 couples are married. Hearing the wives and husbands talked about the "After Married Life" made me laugh so hard. If you notice, when infront of friends especially with our partners or spouses present, we hardly talk about how GOOD and SWEET they are!! (To avoid them becoming BIG HEADED after that and also FACE issue!! hahahahahha =P) Instead we usually talk about how blur they are, the stupid things they did or any other embarassing incidents that happened so that we all can have a GOOD LAUGH! However, if you realise this is often the way we tell our partners or spouses how much we really LOVE them no matter what flaws they have, and no matter what stupid things they did. It's a way of expressing our affection. It's so sweet just to think of it, isnt it? =)

The wedding went smoothly yesterday!! Phew! What a relief! =)
I was busy since Sat night, helping around in his house, sleeping late and waking early the next day. Then came the actual day, helping to serve drinks to family and friends. Babysitting Jovann and Javier while Matt and his sis are busy entertaining the guests. Dead tired and rest a little by late noon. Rushing to the hotel for makeup and hair. At the dinner, the guests crowd were overwhelming. While Matt was busy helping his bro, I was a little loss of what to do. Luckily I had his teenage cousin to chat with. I would say it's a very good experience for me and Matt of knowing what to expect. I can imagine how stressful it is to organise such a huge and important once in a life time event. Stress Level: 10/10!!
Hopefully things will turn out well for me when it comes my turn.

Yup finally the long awaited result is out!! Hmmmm..though it may seem to be a BIG NO. but at least we will be guaranteed a unit. Hopefully it will be our desired one!! *Pray hard*

Happy 31st Birthday to MY DEAREST!

Today marks my dearest 31st birthday. =) Happy Birthday Dear! Muacks!

We celebrated this happy occasion on Sat. Went to the new shopping mall 313 @ somerset, it is really huge and so crowded. However me and matt are really hopeless at shopping. haha.. YES you heard it correctly, we are hopeless case when it comes to shopping. Unless we have a target item, else we get really tired of walking around and the crowd scares us! We rather spend time hunting for more delicious Jap food or nuah at home watch DVD. =P


As usual we went for our favourite Japanese buffet. =P haha. We found a nice place! Hibiki @ Cuppage Terrace. Small restaurant, nice decor and ambience. Not as rowdy as other Jap restaurants that we have been to. A good place to chit chat and enjoy our food. Their buffet is also at reasonable price, food are fresh and service is quite good though the variety is not that much. But both of us are suckers for sashimi!! =P So the variety doesn't really bother us but it is the freshness of the food that matters. =) Definitely will be going back again.

After dinner, we watched Avatar at plaza sing. The show is really FANTASTIC!! Highly recommended!! The graphics are so beautiful that I fell in love with the Pandora Planet. You will be impressed by the awesome, exotic and colourful plants and animals. Amazing. Should have watched it in 3D!!

I went to Guan Yin Temple today during lunchtime to pray for Matt, wishing things will run smoothly for him. Got a good lot and really happy about it. Hopefully my prayers will be answered!!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

We caught Twilight on Friday. One word to describe how we felt about the show: DISAPPOINTING!!!! When the show ended, Me and Matt were like scratching our head and looked at each other. "THIS IS IT??!!" We were expecting so much more............

Before I went for the show, I got reviews that it was very draggy! True enough!! It was very SLOW. We were expecting more action packed and more fighting scenes between the Good and Evil Vampires or even Vampires versus Werewolves. But just a tiny tweeny of it......

All I can say it really sux!! arrrggghhh

We graduated! =)

FINALLY! We graduated from our Pattern Trader Tutorial Batch 34 on 18th Nov after 7 gruesome nights of lessons.

Here we are with our shifu, Conrad Alvin Lim. =)

However things don't end here. Instead it is the beginning of our trading journey. We will have to put what we have learnt to good use, else the fee we have paid for the course will be wasted.
Practice, Practice and more Practice!! Till the day when I have the confidence to trade with real $! =)

Luckily I still prefer my Fernvale Palms over this New Punggol BTO Flats though the location is better!! =P

My DREAM HOME is one which can overlook the sea!! I will never forget that fateful morning during Sec 2 when a group of us stayed overnight at Adrian's Marine Parade house after Xmas celebration. When I woke up in the morning looking out of the window, I was greeted by the BEAUTIFUL SEA!! The scenery was so magnificent and breathtaking that from then on, I fell in LOVE with the sea. =) However I know I have to pay a hefty price for a flat overlooking East Coast.

So the next closest will be Punggol Waterfront, I really looovvveee the terraced design of the waterfront flats. However the flats will only be launched mid next year, and probably it will not come cheap too. Haaaahaaaa. Okie I shall not be too greedy!! =P As long as I am living with my loved ones, I guess any location will be GREAT!!! ..........But i still hope someday I can live in my dream home. heeeeee

"2012" The end of the world??

Me and Matt caught the movie "2012" on friday at Yishun. You must be wondering why Yishun!! That's because almost all of our usual cinemas are fully booked at our desired timing. Anyway we encountered some surprises over there that maybe we will not be going back in the near future. =P

We don't know that the cinema is also screening Tamil movies under the same roof, so we have lot of Tamil Friends there. Oh racial harmony.... =)

When we entered our theatre for the show, we had a "pleasant" surprise. Abt 1/3 of the movie goers were our Tamil Friends. Oh what a surprise! Probably too shocked, Matt was behaving weirdly. I was telling him, "It's ok, we are all the same when the light is off." =)

Perhaps the cinema is a little too old, the seat looks worn out as the fabric is discoloured after years of "Bum Friction". So organisers it is time for a REVAMP! =)

Now finally back to our movie!!

The movie is a whopping 157 mins, so be prepared for some bum-ache.
Overall the movie is great! Though the disasters are exaggegrated, but the visual effects are so good.

Somehow I felt that I was experiencing the whole thing throughout the movie. It got me very emotional when I see people dying helplessly and as usual telling you to forget all hatred and treasure your love ones before it is too late.

I got very agitated also because it depicted that life is unfair and RICH people can choose to survive simply because they had the money to purchase the "ticket to survival". So does that mean those poor people out there deserve to die! Shit! Everyone has the right to survive!! No one is to be deprived of such priviledge.

If you ask me if I believe there is "End of the world"? I do! Else the dinosaur age will not have been gone. Looking at the weird climate, the natural disasters that are happening more often than ever, the ice is melting faster because of the global warming causing the rising sea level and many more..... which perhaps we are kept in the dark. The earth is changing which we can't deny. So what do you think will happen next??? Hmmm... Let's ponder........

Wealth Academy Trader

Currently me and Matt are attending a trading course "Wealth Academy Trader" (WAT) by Conrad Alvin Lim with Adam Khoo Learning Technology Group (AKTLG). We are into our 5th lesson yesterday. I must say it is very interesting yet difficult to understand!! Our class always ended past midnight but you will never find me dozing off in class. I will always be so hyped up by the movement of the stock market and using all sort of charts, tools and the candlesticks to predict the bulls and the bears. Buy the wrong direction and you will be slaughtered!! However it doesn't deter us, instead it poses a challenge for us to become more determined to conquer it. Ha...  Last week on thurs, DOW was up by 200 pts in a day and down by 250 pts on Fri!! This is how crazy it can be.

We still have alot ahead to learn as a newbie.. Jiayou ba!! =)

Subaru Challenge

David, Matt's bro is in!!! Now he is one of the 400 competitors outside taka taking on the gruesome Subaru Challenge!! It was pouring just now. What a nasty first day to start with!! Hope he can overcome this mental and physical challenge. Jiayou!! =)

Application sent!!

Finally we decided on a 4rm and sent in our application yesterday!!! =) Now we have to wait for the ballot results in Dec, so exciting!! Hope we can get a swee swee queue no. *Pray hard*

Yesterday we drove down to the site to explore. Location is not as bad as I thought! I was very satisfied with it! If we are able to select the unit that we want, it is actually quite near Fernvale LRT and Fernvale point. Besides, a few fernvale estates are already there for a couple of years so it is not that ulu. So by the time we move in, the area is more or less developed. Anyway we came across an interesting sight, famlies are gathering at this open space near the Sengkang central and flying kites!! So many cars are parked along the roadsides. It looks like another Marina Bay to me. Sweeeeeet.... I love seeing family having fun together. =)   

Moving on to another stage of life....

Met up with Alice yesterday at Tampines for dinner and also to visit her NEW HOME!!!
Yes, she is now a proud homeowner of a 5rm flat in Tampines! =) So exciting... Her house is so BIG and SPACIOUS which you can never find it in Punggol and Sengkang. It costs a whopping half a mil!! Well that's the price to pay for a premium location and space. =(

The current HOT topic with my dear gals are now revolving around marriage, house and moving on to kids soon. We are really moving on to another stage of life. I felt so hmmm....MATURE! (I wldn't use the word OLD!! Taboo!!) =P At the same time, I am also excited because house will be the most expensive asset that I can ever own!! So it is so damn important to be able to buy a house that you and spouse LOVE!!! So that everyday after a long tiring day of work, we can look forward to go back to our LOVE NEST to nuah!! =)

As for location, it is situated at the western side of Sengkang, near the prata haven Jalan Kayu which we often frequent for supper! =P Hmmm...location wise, nothing much to wow about. However as compared to other BTO flats, it has a much affordable pricetag.

4rm - $214,000 - $262,000 (347 units)

5rm - $282,000 - $340,000 (52 units)

We are undecided whether to get a 4rm or 5rm but we are kinda inclined to choose a 5rm unit #533 of Blk 433B which is not facing the main road so it will not be too noisy. However there are only 52 units of 5rm to select from!!

The Ugly Truth

We caught "The Ugly Truth" on Friday. It had been awhile since I laughed so much in the cinema.
I must say the show is DAMN FUNNY with their wacky adult dirty jokes!!!
Though the show is short (96 mins), the plot is simple and the ending is kinda predictable. I still find the show very entertaining, short and sweet!!! Definitely worth the money! =)

I am back!

I am BACK!!
Time really flies when it comes to holidaying!! =(
I had this really bad Post Holiday Bluessssss yesterday and today I got to drag myself out from bed to work! sighz...
Well well...we both felt that 10 days was a little too long for Taiwan especially since Alishan was out of our itinerary else 10 days will be PERFECT!!
We were both very tired from the trip travelling from places to places and was actually glad to be home minus the "got to go back to work part" though! =P
Okie dokie got to go back to work now. Shall blog in more details when I am free. =)

Why I love Taiwan!!

For this Taiwan trip, we have planned to venture out to places like Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hualien and Taipei for 10D9N. I just can't stop thinking of the delicious food at the night markets which are very common in Taiwan. If you are like me who love to eat, you will definitely LOVE Taiwan.

Their night markets are always bustling with people, street hawkers and interesting stuffs. You will not be able to resist the temptation of FOOD!! My all time favourite Ah Zhong Mian Xian (which can only be found in Xi Men Ding) the super BIG Hao Da Da Ji Bai..the delicious roti prata look alike Chong You Bing..the thirst quenching irresistable Mango Ice (their fruits are so fresh and the ice are so smooth!!!)

The people there are so friendly that you feel so welcomed. I remember my last trip, whenever we asked for directions the ppl there will go all out to help us. The shop assisant never show a black face even if you did not buy their stuffs.  Weeeee now it's their Summer going into Autumn, I hope they have lots of summer sales so I can shop till I drop!

Now you know why I  LOOOOVVVEEE Taiwan. =P

I can't say much about what actually happen here, neither do I wish to talk about it anymore.

All I know is that the incident is a huge blow to my beloved and perhaps this is one of very few times I have seen him so vulnerable and despaired. The feeling of betrayal is unbearable. It really hurts me to see him like that. I hope that he can get over it soon and regained back his fighting spirit soon. =) Jiayou!! Jiayou!!

Let's hope our Taiwan Trip will chase the gloomy days away.

What a Fxxk up management!!

Received a sms with a shocking news this morning from Matt.
WTH!! I felt so angry and so unfair for him especially after all the contribution he has made for the company and that is the treatment he is getting. FXXK the management!!

I learnt a valuable lesson today. No matter how hard you work and how much effort you have put in for the company, at the end of the day company only care abt their own survival at the expense of yours. So pls work hard for the benefit of yourself and not for the company!!!

I never realised planning an itinerary involving different areas is so challenging.
Every changes you made affect one another, you have to consider the type of transport, the transport timing and pricing, the places you will be going, booking hotels at convenient location and the list goes on........

Because of the typhoon, we decided to avoid Alishan and spending more time in Hualien instead.
We have not booked our hotels yet. 3 more weeks to go and I am getting gan jiong.
However I realised that travelling F&E and planning the itinerary makes the whole trip more meaningful as you remember every places you go and how you get there. You get to experience the different types of transportation, travel at your own pace and choosing places that you want to go.

I joined a tour group during my last trip to Vietnam with Mum.
I never remember the name of the places that I went to. Only a few of them.
Because with my mum, I wouldn't dare to take the risk of travelling on my own and bringing her out at night to stroll around the area of an unfamiliar country.

Gotta buck up on my itinerary!!

On a side note, my dearest friend told me this morning that she has applied for a flat at the recent Punggol launch!! Weeeee so happy for her!! GOOD LUCK BABE!! Let me know the results!!!
Hope we can become neighbours some day!! *wink* =P

We actually planned to go Taiwan this month!! Luckily Matt needs to go back for reservist so we change our plan to Sept. Hopefully the weather gets better and the situation improves.

We plan to cover a few places this time since we only explored Taipei on our last trip => Kaohsiung-Alishan-Taichung-Taipei
It seems that Kaohsiung is badly hit, some say best to avoid Alishan because of the fear of landslides. Sighz.. I want to go Alishan badly, I was looking forward to see their beautiful scenery!! And forest adventure.

Plsssssssssssss grant me my well deserved long holiday!!!!!

Transformer 2 ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Caught Transformer 2 yesterday night at Vivo. Jenna's company had booked the whole theatre for their staffs, each entitled to 2 free tickets, popcorns and drinks! And there I was... =)

I was waiting excitedly for T2 to screen in the cinema as I had watched T1 and it was sooooo damn cooool... I loved it!! Moreover I watched T1 on the DVD and it had my eyes glued to the TV exclaiming and screaming.

Before the show, I heard reviews abt T2 is bad, but it didn't deter me at all. I was all ready to catch it no matter good or bad, free or paid!

Well my verdict:

* Awesome transformation
* Cool Robots (I LOVE OPTIMUS PRIME!)
* Great Explosive
* Funny Autobots twins
* Megan Fox is sooo sexy and hot!!

I enjoyed the movie very much though T1 is better!!

Matt is going to US on Sat Midnight Flight.... =(
A last min notice... he is going to stay there for 2 weeks, and has to self quarantine himself for 1 week when he comes back on 29th....
that means i will not be seeing him for 3 WEEKS!!
I am feeling very blueeeeeee and worried for him especially US is a danger zone now.
Precaution has to be done thoroughly...

My Simple and Sweet 27th Birthday

Back to work today after a week off at home.... Not playing okie...It's revising for exams!! =(

I had to drag myself up this morning! Afterall I did not have to wake up this EARLY for the past week.

I enjoyed my BIRTHDAY so much on last WED!! Matt took the day off for celebration!! *muacks* He came to pick me up at around noon, then we drove to Orchard to shop for my birthday present!! =) haaaaaa.. he already researched to find the cheapest carpark!! Damn its really ex to park in City area!! We had to avoid the ERP as well... haaaaaa..finally we settled for the open carpark behind wheelock. And we start our hunting for PRESENT!! so excited.

In the end I settled for a DKNY watch. I looooooveeeee it!! So classy!!! =P

After that we proceeded to Great World City to watch Angels & Demons.

The show was not too bad! Compared to Da Vinci Code, it was easier to understand but less suspense and we kinda predicted what happened next. heeeeee...

Anyway here comes the BEST PART of the day!! We went Kuishin-Bo to have my birthday feast. The food was simply DELICIOUS!! I lovvvvvveeee the crab!! Yum Yum!! I am still craving them............. *Drools*

I had a really enjoyable day! Simple and Sweet Day! HAPPY!! =)

We are going to book the air tickets this weekend. BUT itinerary has not been finalised yet, we are too busy for research on weekdays. Simply dead beat by the time we reached home after work. =P

This time round we are not only going to Taipei but also planning to go Taichung, Kaohsiung and Hualien. Woooo...we plan to stay at a Min Hsu at Hualien!! I really really miss the TW FOOD there. Can't imagine the last time I went there is 3 YEARS AGO!! I should go every yr!! haaaa..

I have always wanted to do this... now I did it! One of my "TO DO LIST" for 2009...

Matt is away for biz trip in HK/China. I got his 3rd sms yesterday updating me his status there. Seems that he is doing ok and I am glad! =) He was at Shenzhen on Mon and Tues, HK yesterday and flying to Shanghai today. When he comes back on Sat Evening, I will be gone and back on Tues. Miss my dearie!!

Okie now back to work. Gotta clear them before I leave home early today to pack my luggage!

I have been thinking to start a new fresh blog for the new year! So here I am! =)

Now I am here sitting in front of the computer on a Monday noon waiting for my results to be out!!
Feeling really nervous...
Simply because I am stuck on this last paper before I can graduate...sigh

Yesterday i visited Matt's Sis in the hospital, she had just given birth to little Jovan, their second child on Valentine's Day!! A Wonderful Valentine's Gift to the family! =) Little Javier actually can understand that he has a Di Di now.
